21.55% improvement in crow’s feet after a four-week human application study… 2.6 times greater efficacy than the conventional ingredient
Pursuing ICID registration and accelerating preparations for global market expansion
BJY Inc. an eco-friendly biomaterials company, announced on July 14 that its new peptide ingredient, BJY-PeptaLift-2™, demonstrated a 21.55% improvement in crow’s feet at a concentration of 0.03% in a human application study conducted by the Korea Institute of Dermatological Sciences.
The study was conducted over four weeks. Under the same conditions, BJY-PeptaLift-2™ demonstrated approximately 2.64 times greater wrinkle-improving efficacy than SNAP-8 (acetyl octapeptide), which was used as a control, and 1.65 times greater efficacy than 0.5% retinol, demonstrating the continued advancement of BJY’s technology.
To commercialize the peptide as a cosmetic ingredient, BJY Inc. is pursuing registration with the International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary (ICID) and the Korea Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary maintained by the Korea Cosmetic Association, while continuing research to optimize its production process.
Through these efforts, the company aims to enhance the commercial potential of BJY-PeptaLift-2™ as a “Botox-alternative peptide” that offers a competitive price, enhanced efficacy, and excellent safety compared with conventional high-cost peptides.
At the core of these achievements is BJY Inc.’s PMF (Peptide Multimer Fermentation) platform technology. This proprietary fermentation system is designed to produce high-performance peptides in an eco-friendly and cost-effective manner and plays an important role in advancing peptide technology and making high-performance peptides more widely accessible.
Byungjo Yoo, CEO of BJY Inc., said:
“BJY-PeptaLift-2™ has demonstrated innovative performance that surpasses conventional anti-wrinkle ingredients. We are also currently considering Halal certification and plan to accelerate our expansion into global markets.”
Meanwhile, BJY Inc. participated in in-cosmetics Korea 2025, held at COEX in Seoul on July 2, where the company showcased its next-generation peptide ingredient portfolio, including BJY-PeptaLift-2™, along with its proprietary technology platform. The company also held active business discussions with industry buyers at the exhibition.
