[Chungcheong Times] Byungjo Yoo, CEO of BJY Inc. who is originally from Iwol-myeon, Jincheon County, visited the Jincheon County Office on September 3 and donated KRW 1 million through the Hometown Love Donation Program.

Yoo said:

“The support and encouragement I received from my hometown have been a driving force behind who I am today. I will continue to support Jincheon County and contribute, even in a small way, to its development and the cultivation of future talent.”

 

Yoo is the first person from Jincheon County to graduate from KAIST.

He previously served as a principal researcher at Samsung Electronics and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITECH), where he achieved outstanding results in technology development. He currently leads BJY Inc., an advanced technology-based natural biomaterials company, contributing to the development of the industry.

In particular, in 2025, Yoo received an Excellence Award at the KIC China Startup Competition, gaining external recognition for the company’s technological capabilities and competitiveness in the global market.
