Combining PMF Platform and Hair-Loss Care Peptide Technology to Expand Haircare and Skin Beauty Markets, with Plans to Enter Russian Pharmacy Chains

By Taeyoon Gil | May 15, 2026

[COS’IN Korea = Reporter Taeyoon Gil] Latitude81, a global beauty management company led by CEO Sangwoo Kim, and BJY Inc., an eco-friendly biomaterials company specializing in microbial fermentation technology and led by CEO Byungjo Yoo, announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly develop high-performance haircare and skin beauty products and expand into global markets.

The agreement aims to combine Latitude81’s OBM-based brand planning and global distribution capabilities with BJY Inc.’s BJY-PeptaGrow™ hair-loss care peptide technology, developed using its proprietary PMF (Peptide Multimer Fermentation) platform. Through this collaboration, the two companies will establish a strategic partnership to jointly develop high-performance K-beauty products and expand their presence in global markets, including Russia, the CIS, and the Middle East.

BJY Inc. possesses eco-friendly fermentation technology capable of replacing conventional chemically synthesized and animal-derived ingredients. Through its proprietary platform, the company can mass-produce thymus-derived peptides and plans to expand its product portfolio based on fermentation-derived biomaterials applicable not only to haircare but also to skincare.

Latitude81 has established localization strategies and global distribution networks focused on Russia, the CIS, and the Middle East. Following the agreement, the company plans to actively pursue entry into nationwide pharmacy chains in Russia, positioning this initiative as a major step toward further global market expansion.

The two companies plan to diversify their distribution channels, beginning with functional haircare products and subsequently expanding into skin beauty products. In particular, entering pharmacy channels is expected to rapidly increase access to local consumers while providing an opportunity to validate both the credibility and market potential of K-beauty products based on functional ingredients.

Woonghee Lee, Head of R&D at Latitude81, said:

“The scientific competitiveness of functional ingredients represents the fundamental value of a brand. Based on BJY Inc.’s fermentation-derived biomaterials, we aim to establish a new standard for K-beauty encompassing both haircare and skin beauty in Russia and other global markets.”

Yonggeol Lee, Sales & Marketing Team Leader at BJY Inc., said:

“Latitude81’s global distribution platform and strategy for entering pharmacy channels provide an important opportunity for our biomaterials to gain meaningful validation in overseas markets. Through this collaboration, we aim to establish a technology-driven brand partnership model and accelerate our global expansion.”

The two companies aim to launch their first jointly developed products in the second half of 2026 and plan to accelerate their expansion into the Russian and Middle Eastern markets within the same year.
