Securing Global Competitiveness Through Offline Exhibition Booths

BJY Inc.

Among the participating beauty-tech companies, BJY Inc. led by CEO Byungjo Yu, showcased its proprietary peptide fermentation technology.

The company specializes in skincare solutions using an innovative fermentation-based peptide production process designed to address the limitations of conventional cosmetic peptide manufacturing methods, including animal-derived extraction.

According to Yonggeol Lee, Team Leader at BJY Inc. the technology also enables significant reductions in manufacturing costs. Compared with the conventional nickel-column purification process, BJY’s technology reduced costs by approximately 83%. For a 300 L production scale, the conventional process costs approximately KRW 180,000, whereas the company’s PMF platform technology reduces the cost to approximately KRW 30,000.

Lee also highlighted improvements in peptide production concentration through BJY Inc.’s microbial fermentation technology:

“When we compared peptide production concentrations using our microbial fermentation technology with conventional methods, the concentration increased from 0.2–0.4 g/L to 3–5 g/L.”
